We are also one of India’s leading exporters of high-grade processed Iron Ore to China. We are the flagship company of the Baldota Group of Companies, which are privately owned predominnantly by the Baldota family.

We are an ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:1996 and OHSAS 18001:1999 certified company. According to Bureau Veritas, we were the first unit certified in the mining sector in India for upgrades to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 status. We also hold the status of being a three star export house.

We have been honoured with numerous awards by the Central Government of India and the State of Karnataka, including CAPEXIL special export awards for outstanding contributions to Indian Iron Ore exports in each of the last six years and the Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshamitra Award in 2004 for our work in afforestation. Public Relation Council of India (PRCI) has also honoured us with several awards over the years for our communication initiatives

Baldota Group of Companies also own and operate Wind Farms with total installed capacity of 215.75 MW as on 31 March 2010. Various Wind Farms are operating in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

According to the Directory Indian Wind Power, published by Consolidated Energy Consultants Limited, as at March 31st, 2005, we had the largest installed Wind Power generation capacity in India. Recently, we were awarded the prestigious KREDL award for “Highest Productivity and Highest Investment in the field of Renewable Energy” in the State of Karnataka in fiscal 2005.
