Environment Protection is our utmost priority & we believe that every small step we take today towards protecting the environment helps us to reduce the impact on the mother earth. We conceived the concept of environmental protection measures right from inception and had programs since then, we started Afforestation programme right from 1976.  When there was no mandatory law. Top management is continuously providing guidance for implementation of the programme.

MSPL has demonstrated its concern for environmental health over a period of time and as a part of its Afforestation initiative, planted over 1.76 million trees, transforming 240 hectares of harsh mining terrain into a lush landscape. 

MSPL is celebrating “World Environment Day” by involving School going children in plantation drive for the last 10 years also conducted Drawing and Essay competitions in various schools of Hospet town and in near by villages.

MSPL is the first mining company in the entire mining sector to get the certification from Bureau Veritas. We are an ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified company.  We have won prestigious National Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshamitra Award during the year 2004 from Ministry of Environment & Forest, New Delhi for its innovative and outstanding afforestation work especially waste land development by involving local people.
