MSPL was originally founded by the late Shri. Abheraj H. Baldota in 1961. Prior to the  incorporation of MSPL, Shri. Abheraj Baldota was a trader in non-ferrous metals. He was the President of the Bombay Metal Exchange in the year 1960. MSPL business and operations are currently headed by the son of late Mr. Abheraj H. Baldota, Mr. Narendrakumar A. Baldota and his two sons, Mr. Rahulkumar N. Baldota and Mr. Shrenikkumar N. Baldota, all of whom are on our Board.

Our quantity-wise sales during the year ended on March 31, 2009 amounted to 3.60 million metric tons of iron ore products comprising 2.6 million metric tons of high grade fines, 1.00 million metric tons of high grade calibrated lump ore

Our quantity-wise sales during the year ended on March 31, 2008 amounted to 4.30 million metric tons of iron ore products comprising 3.2 million metric tons of high grade fines, 1.10million metric  tons of high grade calibrated lump ore.

We are also actively expanding our mining business by seeking to acquire additional mining assets and by reorganising our Group in an effort to capture the value of the Group’s Iron Ore business in our Company.

We also own and operate wind farms with total installed capacity of 127.8 MW. Our wind farms are situated in Harpanahalli with an installed capacity of 46.25 MW, Chitradurga, with a capacity of 38.35 MW and at Harihar of 6 MW in the State of Karnataka. We have Wind Farms in Maharashtra at Satara,of 1 MW capacity and at Dhule with 20 MW capacity. We also have another 16.20 MW Wind Farm at Surajabri in the state of Gujarat
